05-24-2022: Photocentric launched Liquid Crystal Magna v.2 3D printer
LC Magna v.2 offered substantially increased print speeds
On May 24, 2022 Photocentric - the inventor of LCD 3D printing, has launched Liquid Crystal Magna v.2, a completely re-engineered LCD screen-based printer. The LC Magna v.2 delivered significantly faster print speeds, boosted productivity rates and reduced waste.
The device was dedicated to the production of low production batches or large 3D prints reaching over 50 cm in the X axis.
LC Magna v.2 offered substantially increased print speeds. For example, 36 Custom Dental Trays (80mm Z height) at 250μm layers could be printed in 1 hour 13 minutes compared with 2 hours 22 minutes on the previous version of the LC Magna. Its new hydrophobic platform has been designed to further boost productivity and reduce waste.
To this day, thousands of Magna printers have been deployed around the world and used in a wide variety of applications. Photocentric is a patent holder in visible light curing technologies and specialises in photopolymerisation, manufacturing an innovative range of photopolymer resins compatible with any printer operating from 355nm to 460nm.
