07-06-2013: the very first edition of The 3D Printing Days („Dni Druku 3D”) took place
It became the largest trade fair event for the Additive Manufacturing industry in Poland
On July 6, 2013 in Kielce, a very small and modest event took place, which had a key impact on the development of the 3D printing industry in Poland. Hobbyists and amateurs met in the „Wspak” student club at the Jan Kochanowski University, some of whom would soon decide on the shape of the emerging 3D printing market in Poland.
Over the next two years, The 3D Printing Days became the largest trade fair event dedicated to Additive Manufacturing in Central Europe, where all the most important companies from Poland, Europe and the world presented their products and services.
Although for the vast majority of people reading this post this event may seem insignificant, for people from Poland the 3D Printing Days are one of the most important events in the history of the industry. This is where all production, service and distribution companies took their first steps.
It was in Kielce where international brands such as MakerBot, Ultimaker, Stratasys, 3D Systems, Formlabs, EOS, and recently Desktop Metal, SLM Solutions and GE (Colibrium Additive) made their debut. In the early years of polish market creation, you could read about all these 3D printers on my website - 3D Printing Center, but to see them live you had to go to Kielce.
The fair was created and has been organized from the beginning by Janusz Wójcik and Paweł Rokita - specialists in 3D printing of ceramics and concrete. Creators of GAIA Multitool and SkribiArt system for multi-color 3D printing on construction grade materials, as well as utility applications in concrete.
