Atomic Layer of the Day:
3DGence—a Polish manufacturer of industrial FDM/FFF 3D printers—teases a new machine. The INDUSTRY F1000 will feature a large build area of 1 meter on each axis and will work with composite materials. The 3D printer was first unveiled on September 10, 2024, in Tarnów, Poland, during the second "Małopolskie Dni Druku 3D" conference. Now, its photo is available on the company’s social media.
3DGence claims that the F1000 will operate 30% faster than previous models, attributing this to a modified print head. The build chamber will be actively heated, and the entire production process will be monitored.
3DGence has branches in the USA and Germany. It is owned by Michał Sołowow—one of the wealthiest individuals in Poland and Central Europe for years. His portfolio includes companies like Synthos—a chemical company producing synthetic rubbers and styrenic plastics, Barlinek—a flooring manufacturer, Cersanit—the second-largest tile producer in Europe, and Komfort—a network of 160 stores selling panels, carpets, wooden floors, and rugs.
In addition to 3DGence, which Sołowow has owned since 2017, he also owns New Era Materials (NEM)—a producer of composite materials and a provider of 3D printing services.
