Have you seen Duplex? 3D printing on a double and partially inverted delta...

Atomic Layer of the Day:
I recently had the chance to explore a very interesting technology from the Hungarian-German company Duplex 3D. It’s not a new player on the market, but it’s unique enough that, if you haven’t had the chance to learn about it yet, I encourage you to do so.
Duplex 3D produces FFF 3D printers based on delta kinematics, but in a very unusual way. Their 3D printer is essentially like two 3D printers working simultaneously on the same model from both the top and the bottom. This allows the machine to create long parts that either don’t require any support structures at all or limit them to a minimum.
Here’s how it works:
First, the upper (traditional) part of the 3D printer creates a technical base, which acts as a link between both parts, and then it starts building the upper section of the model. Meanwhile, the lower part of the 3D printer (inverted) builds the bottom section upside down. The whole process looks quite intriguing, especially since the build volume is really large: ∅ 400 mm x 1000 mm.
The Duplex F2 3D printer is a huge, industrial-grade machine. I’m still considering its potential applications, though? Theoretically, these could include orthoses (due to the lack of or minimal support structures), long casting molds, or housings and enclosures. I’m curious to hear your thoughts and ideas!
Atomic Layer from the Past:
10-08-2019: Marie Langer was appointed as the new CEO of EOS GmbH.
Atomic News & Gossips:
3D food printing is still a highly controversial topic, especially if we try to put it in the same category as industrial AM (polymer and metal). Meanwhile, Israeli company Steakholder Foods announced two major partnerships within a week — first with Bondor Foods Ltd., a producer and distributor of a wide range of ready-to-eat vegan and vegetarian products, and just today with Wyler Farm Ltd., Israel's largest tofu producer.
Metal AM firm Fortius Metals has secured an additional 2 million USD in seed funding. Fortius Metals specialize in large-format metal 3D printing, with patented wire-based technology.
polySpectra launched Kickstarter campaign for COR Zero - industrial-grade desktop 3D printing resin.
Strange to print upside down, clever...
I couldn't see, does the bed release automatically or is there a manual pause?
It will all depend on the price of the machine (how much Bambu lab for a DUPLEX?).
